Miss Daysha has a Tooth!!

The first tooth has made its appearance! We suspected she's been working on some teeth for a while now, in fact since around Christmas time, and here it is! Even though we suspected it, it was a little surprising to feel it. Just a little corner appeared two days ago and now the whole top of the tooth is out! She's had a tough time sleeping lately so hopefully the other bottom one will accompany soon and she - I mean we - can all get some sleep!! She's, of course, cute as ever and such a happy girl. We are constantly getting comments on how happy she is, in fact we went to Costco today and an older lady came over to talk to her, she was grinning and put her arms out so the old lady held her and couldn't stop commenting on how adorable and happy she is, ok enough doting - we're very proud parents!!

Playin' With Dad!

Daysha was really interested in this box so Zane decided to jump in there and make things a little more interesting! It was super cute, she was pretty excited he was in there and wanted to get in with him!

She's so much fun to play with, she rolls across the room and scoots herself all over the place now, she's just about ready to sit by herself too! Like Grandma Rogers' says - she's going to leave a whirlwind behind her when she figures out how to crawl and especially when she can walk! Oh baby, we're in for it!

Grandma Caduto made her some super cute winter hats - she looks adorable in them and they're warm and snuggly for this cold weather we're going to get!

Scooterin'!!

Last week it was in the 70's here so I jumped on the bicycle and Zane jumped on the scooter with Daysha, she must have felt just like she was in a car as she fell asleep! I then had to take my turn on the scooter with her, she LOVES being outside, can't wait for summer! We've been trying some more foods, applesauce, blueberry applesauce and sweet potatoes, all of which she loved, she knows to open her mouth when she sees the spoon, she's a little pro! Not surprising as her parents love to eat too! She's been rolling and really trying to sit up now too - this little girl is ready to go!!

First Food!

Daysha had her 4 month appt. on January 9th, she weighs 13 lbs and grew 4 inches from her 2 month appt. to this one and is now 25 1/4 inches! The nurse actually re-measured her height as is was such a significant growth! She had her shots and did really well, cried for a few minutes and then was over it! She still has her little rip curl mohawk, which I love, not sure what I'll do when it grows out - and of course she's just as adorable as ever! She's been nursing exclusively for the last three months and I was getting a little worried that she wouldn't take a bottle becuase we've been trying diligently and she wouldn't have anything to do with it, until about a week ago! I tried giving her a new binki and to my surprise she took it (she took one for a couple days at Christmas time but didn't want anything to do with it after a couple days), so I thought, hey I'm going to give the bottle a try and she took that too! Woo hoo. I have a little more flexibilty now and I think she is actually sleeping a little better now that she has her binki and is going a little longer between eating (from 2 hours to 3) which is nice! At her appt. her doctor said we could start to introducte rice cereal so we mixed it with a little milk and she seemed to really like it, we actually got some in her belly (I think!). I was eating an apple a couple days ago and decided to see if she liked it, boy she didn't want to let it go - it was super cute watching her suck on it with apple juice dripping down her chin! I think she's going to be a good eater, like her dad, open to try anything!

What an Amazing Christmas!!

We went to SLC this year to spend Christmas with the Rogers'! Daysha and I (Kar) went for 10 days which was great - it sure felt like a good vacation being able to go for that amount of time - we got to see some of my great friends in Utah and spend lots of time with the family! Zane joined us Christmas eve - it was a wonderful first Christmas with Daysha!!
