Our First Camping Trip This Summer!

We bought a little camping trailer this year, Zane's tinkered around a done a little work on it but it's in great shape and perfect for our family! We took our first camping trip to Kamas this year, it's about 1 1/2 hours from our house and beautiful! There's lots of riding and water, two of our favorite things while camping! As you can see, Daysha loves the dirt and licking rocks, this girlie girl is not afraid of, and actually seeks out, getting dirty! Wouldn't have it any other way! Destry enjoys hanging out in the gear bags while his sister entertains him! We have two great little campers!!

Oh So Soft!!

Daysha found my jar of eucerin lotion while I was packing to go on our family camping trip, amazing what can happen in 2 minutes while your back is turned! My lesson learned and thankfully in a funny way!! She's got some skill, looks like she was going for a full beard, some earings and a little extra for her arms once her hands were free!!

Makin' Up For Lost Time!

Wow, it's been a while! Lots has happened this summer so far so I have some catching up to do...the kiddos are doing so good! Daysha is about 21 pounds, Destry 19! Both are healthy and getting big. Daysha has hit such a fun stage in her life, very talkative and mimicking just about everything we do...Destry just started crawling last week, has two little teeth and is very ticklish! I had no idea how much joy my life would have with children, they are the best!!

Following are just some fun random pics of this summer and their brief description, not necessarily in order: My Aunt Mary, Aunt Terry and Grandma Johnson came to visit this June for my Grandma's 81st Birthday and I'm so glad we got their pictures with the kiddos!! Daysha at the little park by our house, uncle Jason with the kiddos and swimming at uncle Jason's place. One of the things Zane has enjoyed this summer is setting up the zip line for the kids in the front yard - he's using the "jenny" jump up (sorry Destry, being second child does have a couple draw backs...!) as the seat, the kids love it! We also set it up at Grandpa Deryl's house which you'll see in another post! A couple photos from Jill and Ryan's house riding down the sidewalk on the long boards...the kids all love that! Uncle Brenty and Kyson on the 4th of July, Brent, Shelly and Kyson in another photo. Aunt Stacey reading to the kiddos, kids playing in Grandpa's 1929 Ford Model A, a favorite when they go to the grandparent's house!!

Daysha and Destry!

We just recently got some pictures of the kiddos! I just love them, they turned out really cute! Daysha and Destry are both sick, Destry has RSV :o( but they are both doing better! Destry is such a little sweetheart, although he's been very sick, he is still smiling and hasn't been upset (unless I'm sucking boogies out of his nose). He's such a great little guy, he reminds us that if life gives you lemons, make lemonade! If he has this positive attitude throughout his life, he'll be successful in whatever he does! Daysha is starting to talk in her own language, with several recognizable words in between, it's really fun to see her development! She loves being outside, we have a little park up the street we've been walking to, it has a couple little slides and some climbing blocks, she loves it there! Looking forward to summertime!!

Spring is in the Air - Yay!!

Ahh, the smell of spring is in the air and we are sooo excited!! Daysha is such an outdoor girl and she's been inside alot this winter with the arrival of her little brother. We went to Jill's house last week, she lives in a really cool neighborhood with playgrounds and a place called "Soda Row" which has some cute little boutiques and shops, so we went on a walk up to the shops and the kiddos loved it! Spencer and Daysha had popsicle hands by the time we got home but seemed to be very happy to be ouside playing together! We've also been going to Grandma Rogers' every other Friday when she's off of work, she is the best Grandma all the grandkids just adore her! As you can tell, they are all gathered around her reading which Daysha loves, she is very into her books right now, I often find her in her room "reading" by herself, it's such a great thing to see as a parent!! We went to the indoor pool yesterday, it was Destry's first time in the pool and he seemed to enjoy it, he didn't make a peep the entire time we were there! Daysha was a little cold but otherwise enjoyed it too! We're looking forward to some sunshine and warm weather hopefully soon, can't wait to take the kiddos camping this year! Enjoy these random pics, Grandpa Rogers and Destry, Aunt Jilly and the kiddos, Daysha and Destry first bath together, Daysha and her cousin Kyson who we love and don't get to see often enough!!

Our Family!

Wow the time flies - I can't believe how big our "little" guy is getting! Life agrees with him, he's gained about 4 pounds in the last month - wow! Daysha was always, and still is, so petite that it's different having such a big baby, he's in size 3-6 month clothing now at 7 weeks old!!! I'm so happy he's healthy and what a handsome boy - he has the most adorable smile in the world, it's huge and it lights up his whole face! He's got 4 dimples on that cute face - we just love him to pieces! Our little Daysha is just a sweetheart, she LOVES her little brother, she loves to hug and give him kisses, it's the sweetest thing in the world - ahhh I hope that continues for years to come! She's so beautiful, that curly hair, blue eyes, long dark eyelashes and sunshine personality are such a gift and joy for all who are around her - we are blessed beyond belief with our little family!
