Spring is in the Air - Yay!!

Ahh, the smell of spring is in the air and we are sooo excited!! Daysha is such an outdoor girl and she's been inside alot this winter with the arrival of her little brother. We went to Jill's house last week, she lives in a really cool neighborhood with playgrounds and a place called "Soda Row" which has some cute little boutiques and shops, so we went on a walk up to the shops and the kiddos loved it! Spencer and Daysha had popsicle hands by the time we got home but seemed to be very happy to be ouside playing together! We've also been going to Grandma Rogers' every other Friday when she's off of work, she is the best Grandma all the grandkids just adore her! As you can tell, they are all gathered around her reading which Daysha loves, she is very into her books right now, I often find her in her room "reading" by herself, it's such a great thing to see as a parent!! We went to the indoor pool yesterday, it was Destry's first time in the pool and he seemed to enjoy it, he didn't make a peep the entire time we were there! Daysha was a little cold but otherwise enjoyed it too! We're looking forward to some sunshine and warm weather hopefully soon, can't wait to take the kiddos camping this year! Enjoy these random pics, Grandpa Rogers and Destry, Aunt Jilly and the kiddos, Daysha and Destry first bath together, Daysha and her cousin Kyson who we love and don't get to see often enough!!

Our Family!

Wow the time flies - I can't believe how big our "little" guy is getting! Life agrees with him, he's gained about 4 pounds in the last month - wow! Daysha was always, and still is, so petite that it's different having such a big baby, he's in size 3-6 month clothing now at 7 weeks old!!! I'm so happy he's healthy and what a handsome boy - he has the most adorable smile in the world, it's huge and it lights up his whole face! He's got 4 dimples on that cute face - we just love him to pieces! Our little Daysha is just a sweetheart, she LOVES her little brother, she loves to hug and give him kisses, it's the sweetest thing in the world - ahhh I hope that continues for years to come! She's so beautiful, that curly hair, blue eyes, long dark eyelashes and sunshine personality are such a gift and joy for all who are around her - we are blessed beyond belief with our little family!

Destry Zane Ketchum is Here!!

What a beautiful baby boy - we feel so blessed to have two amazing children, our little family has grown and feels complete! Destry was 7 lbs. 1 oz., and 20 inches long, he made his entrance at about 2 a.m. on December 30, 2009. His due date was the 25th so we were anxiously awaiting his arrival and had an induction scheduled for the 31st - he was ready to be here to celebrate the new year with us and decided to come on his own! His delivery was great, we arrived at the hospital (after contractions beginning 2 a.m. the night before!) at 9:30 p.m. so about 5 hours in the hospital and he was here! We asked to go home today (so hard to sleep in those hospital beds with nurses in and out every hour!) and they obliged, we are so happy to be home and were very happy to see Daysha! We are so grateful to my sister Jilly for taking care of her for the couple days we were in the hospital, Daysha loves her aunt Jilly and cousin Spencer and it sounds like they had a great time! Jill brought her to our house to meet us as we arrived home from the hospital and when she came through the door with Daysha I could not believe how big Daysha looked - I don't know if she grew or if now with Destry here she looks like a big girl! Maybe both. She was so adorable with her new baby brother, she's been giving him his binki and petting him, she gave him a couple kisses and seems to be really happy he's here! Thanks to all those who have sent us their love, thoughts and prayers - we are sooo blessed! Happy New Year to You All!!!!

Family Pics!

My mom is so great about keeping the family photo up to date and thank goodness because I've slacked a bit on the "professional" pictures of Daysha during her first year! She's such a doll and this time of the year when I reflect on all the things I'm thankful for she and Zane are at the top of my long list! He's such an amazing husband and dad, one look at Daysha when he walks into the room is evidence, she adores him and so do I. He's a very hard worker and takes such good care of us, we are very blessed! Also at the top of my list is my little guy Destry, can't wait to meet him! He's due Christmas day and we're all keeping our fingers crossed that he'll come before then so we're all home together for Christmas!

It's Official - Braden is Part of the Rogers' Family!

I had the opportunity to go the the court hearing for the finalization of Braden Rogers' adoption! It was really cool and I can't even begin to say how happy we all are he is part of our family. He is such an adorable little boy with the most amazing smile, he's going to be a football playing chick magnet one day!

Halloween Part 3!

Daysha was a ballerina this year! My friend Amparo gave her this adorable outfit when she was born - she fit in it perfectly and looked adorable! We actually went out trick-or-treating which was more like walking around in amazement checking everything out! She was so much fun and had a great time hanging out with her cousin Spencer Halloween night - mom's took the kiddo's out while dad's stayed home and scared all the kids. Zane, once again, was a celebrity! I don't know how many photos he took with the kids in Jill and Ryan's neighborhood and also had several comments on how scarry he was and how cool the house was with he and Ryan out there - another successful year!

Halloween Part 2!

We went to a place in Midvale, Utah called Gardner Village - they go all out for Halloween! It's a little village with shops, restaurants, a bakery, petting zoo, pony ride and they had a tractor ride to a witches house for story time! It was alot of fun, Daysha LOVED the petting zoo, she went through and touched every animal in there - I was surprised to see that she wasn't the least bit intimidated, she was so cute with all of them! We definitely have an animal lover!
