Daysha's 2nd Birthday!

Daysha's 2nd birthday was so much fun this year! We went to Chuck E Cheese, haven't been there in years and it was a good time, most importantly, Daysha had fun! She and Zane played alot of games together, we had some pizza and then went home to have cake and ice cream! She loves to draw and color so her gift was an easel, one side has a roll of paper and the other a chalk board, she loves it! It's been a little over a month since her birthday and she is now potty trained (daytime, haven't started night time yet although she wakes up with a dry diaper the majority of the time), talking in sentences and has started dance class! First class, she loved it and did so good, 2nd class she didn't leave my side, 3rd class (tonight) she wanted to go in the classroom but once she was in there, wanted to come back out so finally her awesome teacher said if I wanted to leave her in there, even if she cries, it'll be ok. So, once she wanted to go in, the teacher came and grabbed her, I shut the door and she proceeded to cry most of the class :o( Her teacher said it's totally normal, especially for kids who haven't done anything away from mom, i.e. daycare, pre-school yet, hopefully the next class will be a little better and she'll enjoy it. She LOVES to dance at home, which is obviously her comfort zone, but hopefully we can take that confidence and enjoyment to dance class soon! I think most important for her is spreading her wings, learning to socialize, take instruction, etc., outside of home and mom! 2 year olds are mostly there to have fun and oh my goodness are they fun to watch! Pics of dance class coming soon!

2 years and 9 Months!

I love this time of the year, the change of seasons is so exciting! I do love the summer and am sad it's coming to an end but the crisp morning air of fall, the beautiful colors of changing foliage everywhere, the fall just has a certain feel to it. I think the changing of all the seasons do, but fall is special to me becuase the holidays are near, what a special time of the year and with these two beatuiful babies, the holidays have new excitement! We haven't quite figured out what Daysha wants to be for Halloween this year but I think she'll have a ball, we've got our decorations up and she's loving it! Destry is going to be winnie the pooh! He too is into the decoration, it should be a pretty fun Halloween this year! So an update on the kiddos: We had a 2 year appointment for Daysha, she is 33 inches tall, weighs 23 pounds and is a happy, healthy 2 year old! She's talking in sentences now, her favorite things to say are: - where are you daddy? She adores her daddy and is not far from his side when he's home! - Poo Poo Pody (which she's done a few times! Not too serious yet though) - Hi cute boy (when greeting Destry in the morning or after his nap) in little girlie voice sounds like hiii shute boy! It's adorable and he loves it! - No cute boy (she is the big sister after all!) - Meeeeeeess (M&M's - her favorite candy!) - Stop Mom (usually when I'm singing to her loudly - is that supposed to start already?!) She loves her brother (and is on a personal mission daily to retrieve his giggles!), blanket and binky(grrrrrr). She loves to play outside, walk her baby in her stroller, and most of all read books, she can't get enough of the books which we love! She's definately an independent 2 year old with opinions of her own, oh the patience we learn as parents!! She's still a great sleeper - 8 to 8 :o) And naps at least an hour a day but most days 2! We had a 9 month old check up for Destry, he's 29 inches and 19 pounds, a happy, very healthy boy! He's crawling and walking assisted by couch, wall, mom's pant leg and whatever else he can find! He's stood on his own a few times but not quite ready to take that first step! And, we're in no rush either!! He's started waving hi and bye, says mama (don't think he knows what it means, just a sound he likes) he loves giggling at his sister and following her around, anything she's doing, he's right there! He loves being outside, loves the water and loves to eat! He still only has his two bottom teeth but manages just fine with those! He sleeps about 9 hours and then wakes up for a bottle and goes back to sleep for a couple more hours! No complaints here! We couldn't be more proud of these little people who have blessed our lives! Can't imagine life without them!

Diamond Mountain Family Campin'!

Back-tracking a bit, we went on the annual family camping trip to Diamond Mountain near Flaming George in July, as usual we had an amazing time hanging out with my Grandma, Aunt Mary, KaChel and Kaylie (the kids adore her!). It's a beautiful place we love to go, lots of good riding, good food and of course, good company! Not all of the family was able to make it this year (we missed you Uncle Matt (got to see him for a couple hours), Aunt Terry and Uncle Lloyd!) Hopefully next year we can get everyone there together! Thanks for such a great trip everyone, especially Mom and Dad for all the great food!! We miss and love everyone, can't wait to see you all again soon we hope!!!

Trip to Grandpa and Grandma Ketchum's House!

We LOVE going to Grandpa and Grandma Ketchum's house, it really is a little piece of heaven on earth. It's such an amazing place, and the kiddos loved it! We did lots of riding Grandpa's 4 wheeler, our dirt bikes, fishing, playing around the property and eating good food! Does it get any better than that? Nope! Daysha helped Grandma dig in the dirt, and made sure the dog's food and water were stirred up! We took an old car seat we purchased at the swap meet with us and attached it to the 4 wheeler and rode all over, as you can see, Daysha was pretty comfortable! Pops and Zane set up the zip line in the yard between a couple trees and zipped Destry back and forth! We took a trip to Grandpas fire station and got to see where he volunteers and then got to take a ride in the fire truck! That was neat, not too often you get a chance to do that, Destry fell asleep on my lap in the jumper seat while Grandma was in the other jumper seat and Daysha got to ride up front with Grandpa and Zane! Way cool!! We got to go see Justin, Emerald, Cyprus and Hickory (their two kids are really close in age to ours so they had alot of fun playing!) Sandy and Norm and we also saw Jason and Teresa (Chris's son and his wife) and their house which has a beautiful yard!! We were so happy to be able to take this trip, especially with owning a business it's tough to do, but so worth it! Can't wait to go back!!
