So I'm playing major catch up today! This blog has evolved into a journal which as you can tell is mostly about Daysha! Jill's sister-in-law has been printing her blog as a journal for her son and what a great idea - there's a website you can just send your blog address to and they print and bind the blog for you - I love it. It's incentive enough for me to be better about keeping it up to date. So in an effort to capture as much as I can of her first year I'm going back in time a couple months to our move to Utah. The road trip wasn't bad at all - thanks to my amazing parents who flew out to help us pack and make the drive! My Dad and his buddy Scott drove the UHAUL, Zane drove his work truck which was packed to the top of the ladder racks and Mom and I drove the green truck with the camper and pulled the trailer with Zane's street bike and anything else we could stuff in there! We broke the trip up into two days and stayed in beautiful Rawlins Wyoming for a night which worked out perfect for Daysha, who as always, was a trooper on the trip! She did really great with Grandma giving her snacks and changing her Baby Einstein movies regularly! Ahhhh thanks Baby Einstein we love you so! We were almost home, near Park City and the trailer Mom and I were pulling got a flat, thank goodness Zane was behind us and saw it so he pulled us over, we didn't have a spare so he drove to Park City to get the tire fixed, we were on the road in no time! We rented a warehouse/shop for work before we left Utah while visiting before the actual move so we luckily had a place to store everything from the trucks while we looked for a place to live. Somehow we still have all kinds of household items at the shop but it's big enough to handle a little storage so that's probably where it will stay for now! Well as stated in the last post, we're here, found a place and all is well!
